During the Spring and Summer of 2011 three strangers with a common interest found each other on DFWScooterist. Sheila and Riah met each other in May and began riding together on the weekends. In June, they met John and the group has been meeting at Moxie Scooters in Colleyville every Saturday since. In August 2011, they finally settled on Blue Meanies for their club name.

Riding all over the DFW area, the group has met a lot of interesting people and had a lot of great meals together. The rides may be to a local event, a restaurant they hear is good or just riding around exploring the backroads. The rides are filmed with a GoPro camera and posted in our ride gallery for all to enjoy. When safe to do so, we try to do a ride past the group getting a nice shot of everyone on their scooter.

Leaders - Your Blue Meanies leaders are Sheila, John and Rhea. Each have proven to be safe riders. They take the safety of the group seriously and spend a lot of time planning safe routes for each ride. The group does not get out on major highways, so rides are 50cc friendly, but you must be able to maintain a minimum of 40mph.
